One of the contestants on American Idol 2012 sang a beautiful rendition of ‘Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?’
The song was written by Carole King, with her then husband Gerry Goffin and the original recording was done in 1960 by The Shirelles, a popular girl band from the 1960s. The Shirelles made ‘Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow’ the first song by an all-girl group to reach number 1 in the United States.

Many artists have recorded the song, including Amy Winehouse who recorded a version for the movie Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason in 2004.

Rolling Stone ranks this song as Number 125 on the list of ‘The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time’.
It’s amazing how this one song sounds so different in all the three renditions, and the many others that have been recorded. But the message is still the same. It’s just someone wondering if they will still be loved in the future the way they are being loved in the present.
The song speaks to those fleeting moments of fear when you wonder how long the love you have will will last.
Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?
Tonight you’re mine completely
You give you love so sweetly
Tonight the light of love is in your eyes
But will you love me tomorrow?
Is this a lasting treasure
Or just a moment’s pleasure?
Can I believe the magic of your sighs?
Will you still love me tomorrow?
Tonight with words unspoken
You say that I’m the only one
But will my heart be broken
When the night meets the morning sun?
I’d like to know that your love
Is love I can be sure of
So tell me now, and I won’t ask again
Will you still love me tomorrow?
So tell me now, and I won’t ask again
Will you still love me tomorrow?
Will you still love me tomorrow?
Will you still love me tomorrow?
